R Ramanibai is the convenor of the Trust.
Ramanibai is a Taxonomist and aquatic bio diversity specialist by profession. She served as Director of the Guindy Campus of the University of Madras and Professor and Head of the Department of the Zoology University of Madras, Chennai on completion of her service. She has 3 decades of teaching and research experience, guided Ph D and M Phil scholars, made national and international publications, besides having one decade of administrative experience. She has conducted / participated in more than 200 national and international workshops and symposia, visited 30 countries and served as Visiting Professor in Universities abroad.
She has interest in studies in development of tribal women and undertook research projects recently.
